Brooks & Freund Gives $4,250 to Community Groups
FORT MYERS, Fla. (April 3, 2007) – Brooks & Freund has donated $4,250 to local community groups including contributions to the United Way of Lee County, Make-A-Wish Foundation and the City of Palms Classic tournament.
The United Way of Lee County meets the needs of residents in Lee County by helping them raise healthier families, find affordable housing and fight drug abuse. In 2006 its 67 partner agencies provided much needed services to more than 300,000 people in the community.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida helps make wishes come true for children with life-threatening medical conditions. Brooks & Freund’s recent donation was part of its five-year pledge to the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s Cornerstone Society.
The City of Palms Classic is the number one boy’s high school basketball tournament in the U.S.
Brooks & Freund has supported the City of Palms Classic for more than six years.
